Over the past couple of months there have been a wealth of new Presenters joining the Croydon FM line-up and we felt it was only right to give them all a proper introduction. Below you'll find all shows that have been added to the schedule from the last 9 months as well as an exclusive look at why they chose to be a part of Croydon FM and the reason you should be tuning in to their show!
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
Bex: "The Foreva Uncut show on Croydon FM is definitely one for the culture, if you like exclusive Urban tracks and good conversation you will definitely enjoy our two hour show. We will also be interviewing some really interesting guests not just Musicians who will be giving an insight into their career journeys and how to navigate success. It’s gonna be a movie!"
Joe: "How can you miss The Foreva Uncut show? We have everything you would want in a two hour show! We’ve got fresh music every week, the conversations and gossip it’s a show you can not miss!!!!"
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
Bex: "We are both Croydon natives so it seems only right that our Radio home is Croydon FM. Seeing the growth in the community is so inspiring and becoming part of the team and being able to plug new music and gems of wisdom is such a blessing."
Joe: "Being born and raised from Croydon it only made sense for me to showcase my talent at Croydon FM! I went to St.Andrews School in Croydon and I used to present all the Talent shows, I was born to host/present, so having this show on Croydon FM means so much to me - this is my Life!"
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show? "People should listen in to 'Lunch with ManLykeMe' to brighten up their lunchtime with a mix of new releases and old bangers, all from the UK Rap scene."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"I became part of Croydon FM because I loved that they were made specifically for the local community, and that everyone working there was there because they truly love music. What excites me most about becoming part of the team is growing with them, learning new things, and being able to take part in something bigger than I am."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"We have a natural banter and always bounce off each other which just works! When we are there, we always having a good time and enjoy what we do, and I think that comes across."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team? "Everyone at CFM seems like a family unit, we like the way everyone supports each other and it is a strong team that we wanted to be apart of."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"People should tune into my show to get all the latest in local news, topical discussions and to recognise and celebrate inspirational people from our local community. My show is all about celebrating Croydon and all it represents. Plus there are great RnB & Soul tunes thrown in for good measure!"
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team? "I wanted to join Croydon FM because I believe in what it represents...celebrating the talent and community of Croydon, while playing a range on fantastic music that reflects the tastes of the local demographic."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"Listeners can look forward to 2 hours of creative blends between Old Skool and New Skool sounds ranging from UKG, Afro/Soulful & SA House, Global Club and Club Bass."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
" It's a local station and local heads were telling me I should try get a show on there. I like the fact I can play tunes from this side of my DJ personality, as the other side isn't safe for daytime hours and I don't really do 'clean radio edits'."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"High Tea with Just Leash will take you through memory lane playing RnB & hip hop throw backs (90s into naughties) we also have my favourite 5 tracks of that week. Along with some Topic discussions and the gossip."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"I was instantly drawn to the family feel and community togetherness at Croydon FM. The management team have played a massive part in my progress and the support / love shown by the other DJs is always amazing. I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"It’s Dris baby and I give you nothing but the Hits straight from Shellington Stanley aka the Hit Dungeon plus 'Ear to the Ground' is where I play a rising Star's music and Topic of the day where I discuss all things.
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"I joined CFM because they looked fully mainstream and good people. The image of CFM was what I was looking for so I could give the best of me on the airwaves.
The most exciting part about being part of the team is the forever interactions between us all."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"You should tune in to my show because I showcase loads of new RnB music, especially on the UK scene with my ‘UK artists on the Radar’ segment. Expect to get no work done in the 2nd hour as we go ‘In the mix’ with all things RnB!"
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"I joined because I felt like it was a good space to showcase music to a broad audience. I also think the team is really talented and Croydon FM is about to do really big things in the radio world!"
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"Brunch 'n' Bants is just that - good vibes each and every Saturday morning from 10am-12pm! Entertainment news, games, brand new music and old skool classics too! Banter from start to finish - the only way to start your Saturday!"
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"Croydon FM has the kind of energy I need in my life! The music is so varied but always on point and the team vibes are on family levels! Progression and professionalism are key and you can see that from the outside looking in. CFM to the world!"
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"Every Thursday on my Breakbeat show, I will be bringing you the latest and best DnB and jungle. My show is one for the ravers, a whole 2 hours of big blends and mashups from myself WILLO1. I will be paying homage to artists who have helped shape the dance music scene. So get you skanking shoes on from 3-5pm every Thursday for some DnB flavours. I will also be bringing my track of the week and interviews with top artists to gain an insight to the underground scene! Being a producer myself you can be sure to hear some specials from me."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"Coming from South London, Croydon has always been close to my heart. CFM enables me to spread my love of a unique genre, to the people. Keep drum and bass alive in Croydon. Coming from a performance background I have thoroughly enjoyed becoming a radio DJ, and CFM has allowed me to do that through its amazing community."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"Tune in for old school r&b, hip hop and more with a twist around meanings and messages. Different themes every week to keep the selections fresh."
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"I wanted to join to rep CR0 and am excited to be part of the fam because there's so much energy and Croydon FM is going to be huge."
What should listeners look forward to and why should they tune in to your show?
"Hey hunnies! I'm Sáshi, host of the Hidden SNDS show that plays every Thursday from 5-7PM. I guess you could call me a newbie to the Croydon FM family, I joined back in Janurary but this year has been a whirlwind so it definitely doesn't feel like it's been that long! Join me on my show for your weekly dose of Alternative R&B, Afro vibes, UK G and a Baile/alternative sounds. I play all the songs i've been loving over the past week and love showcasing new and emerging artists. Some weeks ya girl is joined by special guests where we have authentic chats about all this music, life and everything in between!"
What excites you the most about being a member of the CFM team?
"The CFM family is constantly growing and I'm grateful to be a part of a Black owned Radio station! We really are a little family and I love thay everyone is like-minded, welcoming & so easy going!"
