Becky in conversation with Ebenezer

Updated: Mar 10

Last week 'Supercharged Saturdays' presenter Becky caught up with rising star Ebenezer to discuss love, struggle and his upcoming project 'Bad Romantic II'

Ebenezer is a Nigerian UK-based singer/rapper/songwriter and producer known for injecting his music with honesty and truth. Growing up in Tottenham, North London Ebenezer opens up in the interview about his struggle growing up and how it motivated him to chase his dreams and inspirations in the music industry. Also, talking about his journey with religion as seen in his EP 53 Sundays released in 2018 and how he believes it was his hard work and determination rather than a higher power which got him to where he is today, making him questioning his faith as a whole. The interview was full of sentiment and emotion as well as lots of laughs and jokes in addition to a quick fire question round which revealed his love for pop legends J Lo, Rhianna and Beyonce.

And if you don't know Ebenezer from his own music you may recognise him as being featured on tracks with the likes of A Boogie with da Hoodie, Stefflon Don and Tion Wayne. Who knows he may have also been the producer behind one of you favourite singles as he has worked with some of the biggest names in urban music such as Jeremih, Craig David and Ty Dolla$ign who he wasn't afraid to name drop during the interview.

Keep your eyes peeled for the release of his latest project 'Bad Romantic II" featuring the singles 'Flaws and All' and 'Mariachi Flow' as it is set to come out on all digital platforms very soon and from what we've heard it looks as though it will be worth the listen! The EP being a follow up to one of his previous works 'Bad Romantic' claiming that he felt he had more to say about his experience with love and how he still considers himself to pretty much be a "bad romantic."
