DMX Posthumous Album 'Exodus' Has Officially Been Announced

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

A posthumous album entitled 'Exodus' from legend DMX has officially been announced.

A new album by the late, great rapper DMX has officially been announced. The 50 year old icon devastatingly passed this April, a week after suffering a heart attack that left him in a coma.

It has now been revealed that a posthumous DMX album is set to be released on the 28th of May via Def Jam. It will be his first album since 2012's 'Undisputed' and will feature brand new material produced by close friend Swizz Beatz.

In a statement Swizz said "My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure." He also added that "X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally."

Titled 'Exodus', after the rappers four-year-old son, Exodus Simmons, the album is set to be a legendary body of work, with his 8-year-old Daughter, Sonovah Hillman Jr. also said to be making a special appearance on the album.

Rest in peace to the legend and true inspiration that is Earl Simmons (DMX)
