John Boyega and Robert De Niro are set to star in an upcoming Netflix Crime-Thriller all about Formula One
The new Netflix Crime-Thriller entitled 'The Formula' follows the story of an American Formula One driver who becomes a getaway driver to try and save his family. And with the news that John Boyega will play a starring role in the film, fans are convinced Boyega will be playing the role of the F1 driver. John Boyega is famously known for his role as Finn in Star Wars and most recently featuring in Steve McQueen's anthology film series 'Small Axe.' So far it seems the film is lined up for success, with rising talent John Boyega and acting legend Robert De Niro being announced to star side by side, its no wonder the upcoming Netflix thriller has drummed up a lot of media attention.
The film will be written, directed and produced by Gerard McMurray, Writer and Director of one of Netflix's first ever original movies 'Burning Sands.'
McMurray took to Instagram earlier this week to share the news writing, "Feels AMAZING to see this idea in my head finally come to life that I’m writing, directing, and producing. My new production company Buppie Productions is teaming up with Tribeca Films & Netflix to bring to you a dope original film coming soon called THE FORMULA starring two of my favourite actors John Boyega & Robert De Niro."
