Meet The Newest Members Of The CFM Family!

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

As the team at Croydon FM continues to grow we thought we would give some of our newest Presenters the chance to tell you a bit more about their shows.

Below you'll find a full list of the latest shows to hit the CFM schedule and the chance to hear from the Presenters themselves on why they chose to be a part of Croydon FM, what excites them the most about being a part of the team and an insight into what their shows intel.

Why should people tune into your show/ what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"I’m all about celebrating my roots as well as my fellow neighbours. Born in Zimbabwe but now in the UK I know there are people like me who just want a taste of back home, maybe a little more than others.

So hey, what more to do it than travel across Southern Africa without actually leaving the comfort of our own home. One last but not least major plus is I get to do this every start of the week for two hours so of course there’s going to be drops of fun added to the show."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"Studying at University I also was part of the radio society and had a co-presenters show and my own show. I’ve always stuck with playing Afro beats, Afro house and just music that catered for the students oh and my mum too... Now with Croydon FM I can cater to a wider audience, both Croydonians and beyond. The good thing is there’s always someone out there that enjoys the songs even if they don’t regularly listen to the music I play.

So I guess I’m ticking the box of informing our listeners about sounds from across the ocean. That’s the beauty of the Croydon FM family, because as Presenters and DJs we all play the music we love to listen to and no two shows are ever the same.

I also enjoy the amount of support we give each other even without actually being in the studio together!"

Why should people tune into your show/ what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"Tune in for a mix of old and current music that largely incorporates Jazz, Funk, Blues and classical undertones - whether it be Rap, Neo-Soul, RnB or World Music and also try to incorporate some information about the track/Artist which may not be necessarily widely known."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"I really love the authenticity and breadth of sound and talent that's coming from our hometown. All different and equally valuable. I like the vibe, the realness, the lack of pretention and the fact that it's a very supportive and nurturing environment."

Why should people tune in to your show/what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"My show is the closest thing to an underground rave right about now with everything being closed. I like to keep it underground and play tracks by up coming artists that you may not have heard before."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"Croydons got a special place in my heart, I went to high school in Croydon and grew up there. I love the idea of community radio and being part of the CFM family is such a vibe."

Why should people tune into your show/ what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"Because I’m always bringing good vibes, latest gossip and transparency with my own personal experiences and struggles. They can look forward to hearing 3 tracks from new talent (3 different artists) every Friday, look forward to hearing upbeat familiar and unfamiliar music that is sure to have them in a good mood."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"I joined CFM because not only do I have a passion for radio (however I could of gone anywhere) I chose to join CFM because I love the fact it’s in the heart of London, where I live and where I’m from and so many great talent has emerged from here. I love that it showcases young and upcoming talent and gives them a platform to learn and grow within this chosen craft.

What excites me the most about now being a part of the team is again, meeting new people who have similar hobbies and interests, I’m excited to see where CFM goes from here!"

Why should people tune into your show/ what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"They can always expect nuff bantz and excitement to everyday topics, I'm not short of laughs round here as well as a mixture of vibes to get them active for the day."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"I was recommended by the Head of Music (Kara) at Croydon FM. I caught a vibe instantly hearing about it - what excites me the most is being involved from the ground up! And seeing exactly where the station is heading too, I would fit well to be here in regards to what I do."

Why should people tune into your show/ what should listeners look forward to when tuning in?

"Our listeners should tune into my show to catch a vibe, I'm here to make you get up and shake a leg, as well as, bringing the energy to your Saturday afternoon. Expect mixes, blends, reloads and a whole heap of 'House every weekend'."

What made you want to join Croydon FM and what excites you the most about being a part of the team?

"I wanted to join Croydon FM as from an outside point of view, they focus heavily on promoting their own and evelating everyone, which for me, is ideal for helping me grow as a DJ/Presenter. I'm excited to be here, I've felt the family vibe and I'm eager to grow and build alongside the station, as we move from strength to strength."

Welcome to the CFM family Stacey Potts, Tanya-Noushka, Ella Cassar, Leah Michaela, Nita and Just Chillz!
