CBBC's iconic TV show 'The Story Of Tracy Beaker' is back with a brand new spin-off series.
The original show 'The Story Of Tracy Beaker' last aired 15 years ago but now the much-loved TV series is back with a spin-off entitled 'My Mum Tracy Beaker.'
The popular noughties TV show was based on a Jaqeline Wilson novel written in 1991 of the same name and went on to become one of the biggest shows of the 2000's and one of the most popular franchises of all time.
The lead role of Tracy was played by actress Dani Harmer who stepped down from her role back in 2013 but now she and a few other familiar faces are back to star in the upcoming series, airing this Friday on CBBC.
The latest spin-off show 'My Mum Tracy Beaker' follows the story of Tracey navigating life as a mum, narrated by her 11 year old daughter named Jess. The series explores how quickly their lives changed after Tracy meets her rich new footballer boyfriend Sean Godfrey.
CBBC officially released the trailer for the series (watch above.) Yesterday afternoon and fans from all ages have gone wild, sharing their excitement across social media to tune in and watch the new series. Many who were young children when the original show came out have proudly stated that despite now being grown adults they will still be tuning in on Friday to watch the series and wallow in nostalgia!
One person wrote "I don't care how old I am, I will be tuning into CBBC on Friday to watch My Mum Tracy Beaker." Another writing "Yes I am 25 this month and yes I will be watching My Mum Tracy Beaker on Friday."
