Happy Black History Month From Croydon FM!

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

October is Black History Month and here on Croydon FM we intend to celebrate it to the fullest!!

Black History Month is an annual celebration set to showcase the outstanding contributions and achievements of people of African and Caribbean decent throughout history. It provides an opportunity to learn more about accomplishments within the black community that are often hidden or over shadowed and we feel it is important for us at Croydon FM to show our appreciation and use our platform to help bring those accomplishments to light.

Different people choose to celebrate the month in many different ways and everyone has a different idea of what it means to them. Here at Croydon FM we see it as an opportunity for us to celebrate black history together.

Be sure to tune in live for exclusive show features throughout the month from all your favourite CFM shows. Also be sure to keep an eye out across our social media for even more exclusive content, and of course right here on the blog page where you can expect to see a range of articles dedicated to celebrating Black history.

Check out the video below from one of the newest members of the Croydon FM family, Cheryl Fergus-Ferrell, explaining how you as a listener can get involved.
